Hey everybody how are you? I have a new pet. A Cockatiel. He is beautiful and spends a lot of time riding around on my shoulders and chewing on my glasses. The sound you hear in the background is him whistling. He has also learned to imitate my Bluebird whistle! His wings are clipped and I take him in the van with me for short trips on occasion. He is a male and we should be able to train him to talk after about 8 months. He is named Stuart after the child character Michael McDonald plays on Mad TV. For those of you that are Mad TV fans you will probably understand that the first few word we will teach him will be "dooon't" and 'lemme do it".
Stuart He broke his foot and had to have it set. They put this weird collar on him so he wouldn't chew off the bandage. It is so sad. His balance is off and he keeps falling off his perch. I have to pad the bottom of his cage.
These are a couple of shots of our main floor bathroom, which I have dedicated to Birds. It is mostly a collection of unique birdhouses, ornamental birds and a few real nests!
